Fellow Americans and Civil Servants,

In this moment of profound uncertainty, marked by the dismantling of vital public health institutions and waves of illegal firings, solidarity is not just a gesture, it is a necessity. We stand united with our colleagues who have been unjustly targeted and displaced, affirming that an attack on CDC is an attack on America's health. In the face of institutional erosion and silenced voices, we raise ours louder, together. We will not waver. We will not look away. This is a time for courage, for community, and for collective action. Our solidarity is our strength.

CDC has not held an agency-wide meeting since January 2025 - leaving CDC staff with questions and concerns that continue to go unanswered by Agency leadership. An all hands meeting was finally scheduled for June 10, 2025, only to be cancelled the day before. . Leadership has consistently avoided questions, waved hands, and dismissed or completely ignored concerns and questions brought to their attention. In the wake of the dismantling of the ACIP, the illegal Reduction in Force, proposed FY26 budget and reorganization, communications pause, and more, CDC employees are looking for clarity, and getting no response.

In response to the lack of transparency, CDC staff are demanding answers, accountability, and direct communication from Agency leadership. Our colleagues have been fired, programs slashed, and proposals made to move whole Centers to a new Agency - all with little to no communication to staff.

In order to show support for public health and the CDC, CDC staff will join our fired and alumni friends, colleagues, and allies to rally in support to ”Save the CDC,” Tuesday June 10, 2025 at 2:30pm. State representatives and allies will join us to speak. We plan to collectively read the oath of office we took upon entering federal service.

In solidarity,

Save the CDC Campaign
