Explore the Data and See What’s at Stake in Your State

(Atlanta, GA) - Fired But Fighting is excited to announce the launch of The CDC Budget Data Project, a user-friendly dashboard highlighting the expected cuts and impacts of the Trump Administration’s proposed 2026 funding for CDC.

The dashboard uses publicly available data to compare previous years of CDC funding to the Trump Administration’s proposed 2026 budget, shedding light on the deep cuts we expect to see in public health if the proposed cuts are implemented. It also highlights Health and Human Services' proposed reorganization of CDC and which programs will move to the new “Agency for Healthy America” (AHA). The CDC Data Project also includes state-specific highlights so that citizens and policymakers alike can review how cuts would impact their own states' communities, organizations, and businesses.

The dashboard, along with some key takeaways and considerations on the impacts of the proposed cuts, is available at cdcdataproject.org. It is an evolving project and will be updated as new information becomes available.

It is our hope that media members, legislators, public health partners, and the public use this dashboard to grasp the enormous impact of the proposed cuts to CDC. Americans’ lives and their health are on the chopping block. These proposed cuts will undermine a century of public health progress and will cost us far more in the long run than they will save in the short term.
