A Condemnation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Reckless Endangerment of Vaccine Access and Children’s Lives

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Atlanta, GA) - Vaccines save lives every single day. Thousands of doctors, scientists, and public health experts around the world affirm that vaccines are safe and effective.
Fired But Fighting, now performing advocacy work as the National Public Health Coalition (NPHC), is deeply concerned by the actions of the discredited Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), a committee whose members were hand-selected by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a notorious purveyor of vaccine disinformation.

The reckless decision-making that took place this week threatens the most vulnerable members of our community, including children living with serious health conditions that place them at higher risk and children living in poverty whose families may lose access to the vaccines that protect them.

Parents and healthcare providers deserve the right to make informed decisions about whether, when, and how to vaccinate their children against preventable diseases. These choices should be guided by science, trust, and each child's unique needs, not politics and misinformation.

The decisions of RFK Jr. and his group of anti-vaxxers will limit access to safe, effective, and affordable vaccines. Anything less than full access puts children and families at unnecessary risk.

Vaccines remain one of the most powerful tools we have to protect public health and the health of America’s future. Every child deserves the right to vaccines, and we will not stand by while this assault on children’s health continues.

If you’re covering ACIP and would like to speak with a public health expert, please contact Amanda Dudley at info@nationalphc.org.
